Miss Edwina Fairfax
A totally charming, old Farnell teddy bear with footlabel, c.1930s, Miss Edwina Fairfax is mostly bald, yet still retains her original glass eyes, nose and mouth stitching, along with felt pads and claws in near mint condition.
This gentile lady is 46 cms (18") tall, fully-jointed and soldiy stuffed with kapok (head woodwool). She has a humped back and huge feet and paws, as well as a broad protruding muzzle and large ears. Only wisps of blonde mohair can be seen, and her head is slightly faded, but she's a grand, sturdy character, with just a small ankle seam repair.
Edwina is wearing her period Edwardian dress and new straw boater. Her favourite pastime is pottering in the garden, routing out weeds.
