Bambi & Elke
An adorable pair of Steiff velvet deer c.1950s (no buttons), Bambi is all original and 14 cms (5.5") tall, with shiny black button eyes, and a black-stitched nose and mouth. Stuffed with woodwool, her legs are wired, and she's in lovely condition.
Elke is also original, except for her hooves which have all been recovered with tightly bound silk thread. She's 12 cms (4.75") tall, and has shiny black stick pin eyes, and a black-stitched nose and mouth, along with delciate airbrushed markings. Also stuffed with woodwool, the back of one leg has some darkening, otherwise she's in good condition. These shy, exquisite creatures are available separately, but make a wonderful couple.
