Radulf
This intrepid canine boy scout is an early Steiff dog (no button), possibly an airdale terrier, with original back-painted glass eyes, nose and mouth stitching. He has a swivel head, and stands 13 cms (5") tall.
Stuffed with woodwool, Radulf has wired legs and cute upturned front paws. All his claws are intact, and there's a non-working squeaker in his tummy.
Nose to tail he measures 18 cms (7"), and now only has wisps of mohair remaining, plus his airbushed markings.
He's a little threadbare under his tummy, otherwise a good strong character, with the most adorable expression.
Radulf is wearing his new leather collar, and vintage hat with enamel Boy Scouts badge. His name is German meaning 'wise wolf'.
