Florian
A rare, faded pink wool plush Farnell teddy c.1920s, standing 56 cms (22") tall, Florian is all original except for his back-painted glass eyes, which have been sympathetically restored. Stuffed with a mix of woodwool and kapok, his felt pads are in good condition though one paw has small, neatly patched repairs.
Florian's nose stitching is missing a couple of threads but, overall he's in wonderful shape, albeit with patchy fur loss, especially at the font. His back has retained more of its original pink colour, and all his joints are in fine working order.
This charming character is wearing his handknitted jumper and antique pink silk shorts, and is a very lovable bear. Florian is a Latin name meaning 'blooming'.
