A wonderful, huge white mohair Chiltern Bruin teddy with sideseam label c.1950s, Bronwen is a whopping 71 cms (28") tall, with original features including large amber glass eyes and a black plastic moulded nose. Unjointed, she doesn't so much sit as flop, to take the weight off her enormous cardlined feet!
Stuffed mostly with woodwool, and some kapok, her plush pads are now fairly sparse, and one footpad is in holes, with old sewn repairs. Both show light soiling. She's kept about 70% of her curly fur, and is the most adorable character.
Bronwen is wearing her cute navy and white polka dot dress with vintage dummy necklace. Her name is Welsh/Celtic for 'white bosomed'.
