A very well-loved, early Steiff teddy with earbutton, Louise has original shoebutton eyes, and is extremely worn and threadbare, with numerous darns and patches. She has only a sprinkling of gold mohair and is 24 cms (9.5") tall. Stuffed with woodwool, her nose and mouth-stitching were resewn some time ago, and also her pads recovered in a sueded fabric.
Louise is accompanied by her 'little angel', Leyna, an original Steiff teddy (no ID) who was made without pads. She's 9 cms (3.5") tall, with a good covering of caramel mohair, and has tiny stickpin eyes and a brown-stitched nose and mouth. Apart from some invisible, though hard to the touch, traces of old glue at the back, she's in good condition, and is stuffed with woodwool.
These charming characters have been living together in a private home and become inseperable, so need to be adopted as a couple. They come wearing their old velvet outfits.
