Antique velvet outfit
A very beautiful, antique cotton velvet coat and bonnet, with a matching stole. Each item is fully-lined with cream silk, and features embroidered detailing. The coat and bonnet are trimmed with lace, and the coat has turn-back cuffs. It fastens at the neck with a mother-of-pearl button through a sewn loop, and has a lovely deep collar with a scalloped edge, plus sewn pintucks both back and front.
The coat has been shortened by hand, and the stole made from the offcut. Apart from some very slight wear to the pile at the front, the coat is in lovely condition, and measures 15" long x 13" across the chest (one way). The bonnet is also in good condition, though the ribbon ties are a little freyed at the edges. The lining has all been sewn in by hand, and it has a deep turn-back brim. Totally gorgeous!
