Private Benjamin
Out on night patrol is this keen recruit to the U.S. Army, Private Benjamin, a wonderful little humpbacked early American ted c.1910, with original shoebutton eyes and the remains of his nose stitching. Benjamin stands proud at 30 cms (12") tall, and has kept much of his gold mohair.
Stuffed with woodwool - and kapok in his torso - his joints work fine, though all his cardboard discs are buckled. One footpad has been recovered, and the other original felt ones all have repairs. His stuffing has settled a little around his neck and a leg, and he has a non-working squeaker.
Benjamin has retained about 90% of his fur, with most loss to the back of his head. With his cute pointy nose, he's a funny old bear, and is wearing his antique handmade uniform also from America, plus vintage pinbacks, including 'I'm the guy that put the can in Kansas'.
PRIVATE BENJAMIN IS 295 GBP, 453 USD, 352 EUR
