This beaming Merrythought Cheeky girl radiates sheer happiness in her wide, compelling smile. She's all original, except for recovered footpads, and is made of the more rare, caramel artsilk plush, of which she has plenty. Lexie's white registered design footlabel dates her to c.1950s, as she also has the earliest amber glass eyes, both surface worn, and the left one more than the other.
Stuffed with kapok, Lexie is 41 cms (16") tall, with a black-stitched nose and mouth and felt pads - one paw has a patched repair and also a small worn area.
Her joints work fine, though a neck disc is buckled inside making her head wobbly, but it's secure. Also, her velvet muzzle is worn with sewn repairs and loss of pile.
Although she's kept virtually all of her fur, there's dark areas of discolouration here and there, as shown in her pics. But what a charming Cheeky girl she is, with bells ringing in her ears. Lexie will travel to her new home in her handknitted jumper and floppy hat, and also wears her initial name necklace.
