Miss Twiggy
The inimitable Miss Twiggy, is a beloved brown mohair humpbacked Steiff teddy, with totally rusted earbutton and tiny remains of white stock tag c.1920s. She's 41cms (16") tall, and has an elegant long muzzle and the rueful expression of an aged aunt who's lived life to the full.
Stuffed with woodwool, Miss Twiggy has replaced back-painted glass eyes and a restored nose and mouth, along with recovered felt pads. Fully-mobile, there's an old patched repair to the side of her chest, and the tops of both arms have old sewn repairs. She has a silent growler and has kept about 30% of her fur, with overall patchy baldness.
One of Miss Twiggy's arms is slightly higher than the other, no doubt through carrying heavy shopping over the years! She's an endearing character, and is wearing her Victorian broderie bodice and skirt, with old cardi and vintage brooch, plus patent leather Mary Jane's.
