Princess Lana
A gorgeous, humpbacked Helvetic musical bellows teddy bear c.1925, Princess Lana is all original with lashings of long curly white mohair and back-painted glass eyes. She's 30cms (12") tall, and also has orange batwing-shaped nose stitching and no mouth, a typical feature of these bears, along with a distinctive shaved muzzle, and small ears set on the side of her wide head.
Stuffed with woodwool, all her joints work fine, and she has velvet pads. Both paws have patched repairs, while her foot pads are intact, though surface worn. Princess Lana's muzzle is a little threadbare, otherwise she's in a strong condition, and her musical movemement works well, and plays a lovely tinkling melody when you squeeze her tummy.
Princess Lana has kept about 75% of her fur, with most loss to her back and top of right leg. She's a whimsical character, and is wearing her vintage dress and antique regal red velvet coat with brooch, and beaded 'tiara'. Her name is short for Swetlana, which is German for 'a star'.
