Rosie
An adorable, rare pink mohair Chiltern bear cub c.1930s, with playful downturned paws and wire running through her arms. She's all original and 30 cms (12") tall, with huge clear glass eyes and a black-stitched nose and mouth.
Fully-jointed and stuffed mostly with kapok, she has velvet pads and both feet have old sewn repairs along the middle - originallythey would have been cardlined.
There's a non-working squeaker in her tummy, and one of the wires in her arm is now broken so it isn't as bendable as it used to be.
Rosie has kept about 50% of her fur, which is faded in places, but quite a good deep colour at the back where most of her mohair remains, and also in her joints. She's a stocky little bear, with a great whiskery jaw, and is wearing her vintage baby pink cord coat with knitted hat and rabbit necklace.
