Monsieur Boutin & Delano
This adorable, 1930s French Pintel teddy is in stunning condition, having kept virtually all of his pale gold mohair. He's stuffed mostly with kapok (head woodwool), making him soft and cuddly, and is fully-jointed and 38 cms (15") tall, with contrasting cinnamon plush-lined ears and matching pads.

Monsieur Boutin is all original, with shoebutton eyes and a black-stitched nose and mouth. He has all his claws and a silent tilt growler. Apart from a faint pink tinge to his fur, inbetween his legs, he's remarkably well-preserved, and is a delightful old bear.

He's wearing his cute handknitted waistcoat with handmade jacket, vintage silk cravat, and WW2 miniature medal. Boutin is a French surname for someone who lives on the edge of town or village.

Monsieur Boutin's fierce-looking friend, Delano, is an early worn French miniature velvet bulldog, also original, including his collar, and 12 cms (4.75") high to the tips of his ears. He's stuffed with woodwool, and unjointed with wired legs and tiny back-painted yellow glass eyes. His French name means 'from the nut tree woods'. A wonderful couple of characters!
