Fine silk embroidered gown
A very fine, Victorian cream silk gown, trimmed with lace around the neckline, hem and cuffs, and decorated with delicate blue and white embroidered flowers on the bodice and waistline. It also has satin ribbon draw ties at the neck and cuffs, and long ribbons from the waist that tie at the back, where there's a tiny mother-of-pearl fastening through a sewn loop. Columns of pintucks provide added detail. In lovely condition, just a small mark towards the hem at the front, the gown measures 25.75" long x 11" across the chest.
