Cherie
A well-loved, very long-legged French Pintel teddy c.1920s, originally with apricot mohair that's still visible in her ears, but mostly faded elsewhere.
Cherie is 56 cms (22") tall, with some of her original nose-stitching and a re-sewn mouth.

Her shoebutton eyes are replacements, along with her felt pads. In the past, Cherie's body and limbs have been entirely re-stuffed making her soft and springy, while her head is filled with woodwool. She has various old repairs to her muzzle, and around her eyes, plus a small patched insert to the top of her right leg. Fully-jointed, her arm discs are buckled inside, but secure.

This lovable old girl has kept about 50% of her fur, and is wearing her French jersey sailor dress and cotton-printed hat decorated with a heart and her name. In French, Cherie means 'dear, beloved one' and is therefore a term of endearment.
