Leon
This dazzling, bright gold mohair French boy is an early Fadap c.1920s/30s. He's all original and 36 cms (14") tall, with back-painted glass eyes and a typical upturned muzzle, as well as a black-embroidered nose with downturned stitches, and a seam underneath his chin in the Fadap-style.
Fully-jointed and filled with woodwool, his pads are felt and in good condition, with a just a tiny hole in one paw. He's kept some of his claws, including a full set of four on one foot. There's a non-working squeaker in his back, and one ear has had a few extra stitches to secure it.
Leon has retained about 90% of fabulous fur, with most loss to his left arm. He's a super old teddy, and is wearing his handknitted pullover, velvet pants and old French school attendance medal. His name is French for 'lion-like'.
