Bert
This faithful, early Steiff St. Bernard dog c.1920s/30s (no button), is a fragile, doddering old boy. In fact his poor forelegs and a hindleg are so weak, he can hardly stand up. Yet he has a wonderful amount of mohair, and original amber glass eyes backed with felt.

His tan-stitched nose has been partly- restored, along with his mouth. He's full of repairs, but they don't show that much because of his good fur coverage, and he still has most of his claws. There's also a couple of small holes to the side of his muzzle.

Unjointed and filled with woodwool, Bert is 25 cms (10") tall and 33 cms (13") long. He's wearing an ancient leather collar and is very lovable, and in need of a retirment home, where he can sleep most of the day, enjoying doggy dreams! His name is from the German for 'bright'.
