Jed
This charming, gold mohair 1920s Steiff boy has repairs to his long muzzle, and a restored nose and mouth, but still retains his original back-painted glass eyes. He's lost his earbutton, and his felt pads are replacements, yet he still manages to smile about it.
Jed is 30 cms (12") tall, and fully- jointed with a non-working squeaker. Filled mostly with woodwool, he has a small darned repair to his chest, and to the back of one paw, and three of his seams have been re-stitched at some point in orange thread - possibly to match his delightful Alfonzo-style outfit!
He's a lovely character, and has kept about 15% of his fur. His name is a form of Gerard, which is from the Old German meaning 'spear' and 'brave'.
