Find antique French artsilk plush bear at Old Bears Network

This well-loved and very charming mademoiselle is most likely an early French Pintel c.1930s. Made of cream artsilk plush (now fairly worn away), with contrasting brown plush-lined ears and pads, she's all original and 40 cms (16") tall.

Fully-jointed and filled with woodwool, Fleur has clear glass eyes and a black-stitched nose and mouth. Her pads are surface worn, and there's an old patched insert to a paw, and a hole in one foot. There's also an old wrist repair, and one ear is missing a tiny piece - her other has had a few stitches added to secure it. She's kept all her claws and is a lovely solid old teddy, with a soulful expression.

Fleur is wearing her own dress, straw hat and brings her parasol - she's obviously expecting lots of sunny weather!
