Dulcibelle
This pensive-looking bride-to-be is an early humpbacked Hecla, who has been so greatly loved in her life, she's now worn and fragile, but still keen to tie the knot.

Dulcibelle is 36 cms (14") tall, fully-jointed and filled mostly with woodwool, though has had soft stuffing added at some point. She's still slumpy in places, especially around her neck, and has shoebutton eyes which could be replacements, and an original rust- stitched nose and mouth. Her pads are very old replacements, and she still has most of her claws. Both ears have been re-attached, and her muzzle patched, which is all soft and squidgy. There's a small patched repair to her torso, and her left leg has been professionally patched. She has a few other tiny repairs, and has kept about 45% of her gold mohair.

Wearing her antique cream dress and veil, she also carries her silk handkerchief, printed with a love poem, 'My Heart is Always with You'. Her name is from the Latin, meaning sweet and charming, one who believes that love is the sweetest thing'.
