Find Annemarie, 1920s large Steiff bear with earbutton at Old Bears Network

A quietly beautiful, humpbacked Steiff girl with earbutton c.1920s, standing 51 cms (20") tall, Annemarie has experienced much love in her life, and is now enjoying a renaissance, having been restored to some of her former glory.

Fully-jointed and filled with woodwool, she has specially-made, back-painted glass eyes, a re-stitched nose and mouth, and replaced felt pads, along with six original claws and a silent tilt growler.

Her muzzle has a small darned area to the right, otherwise she's a big strong girl and has kept about 50% of her pale gold mohair, with most coverage at the back.

Annemarie is wearing her antique pink silk dress with embroidered black velvet cummerband, and vintage necklace and earring. Her name is a German compound of 'favour, grace' and 'beloved'.
